“These songs are part of a larger body of music that have documented different seasons of my life sung with the help of session singers who have taken my place on the vocal front, allowing me to focus on the music and enjoy life a bit. I can’t wait for you to get the first taste of what God, and I have been working on for the last few years. It’s been an interesting season to experience".

About Stillwater Lines
Stillwater Lines is a singer-songwriter from Hamilton, New Zealand, making music built for the quiet hours when people most need company. You can hear echoes of We Are Messengers and Brooke Fraser in the faith-forward lift, nods to Jon Toogood’s grit, the honesty of Robbie Williams and Georgia Lines, and the narrative pull of Bruce Springsteen and Cat Stevens, all threaded through a distinctly calming sound that truly puts Stillwater Lines in a place of his own.
The project was created in 2024 after a near-fatal car crash and the ending of his previous band IVYBLUE changed everything. Stillwater Lines retreated to a rural Waikato cabin to rebuild—mentally, physically, and musically—relearning how to write and play from the ground up. With a couple of guitars and a keyboard as his tools, he carved out a “Cabin” season of focused, honest work, shaping 16 songs that lean into resilience, hope, and the little things that make life beautiful while also becoming his most direct statement yet on how music can hold someone together when little else will.
“The goal has always been to engage culture in conversation about the light and darkness in life, using words and melody to talk about some of the hardest things we feel while still being human at the core of the stories the music has to tell”. - James Brodie (Stillwater Lines)
The Yellow Season of Stillwater Lines is rolling out now beginning with his Riverlight EP (Released on August 3rd 2026) and continuing with a full-length album expected in early 2027. He is also one of the crazy cowboys at Figjamin who help develop and promote grassroots artists and musicians throughout New Zealand.
